From brands that can evidence it.
Four strands: the shop, hair, beauty, and honest answers about products.
A great many small online beauty shops import stock and sell it without realising they have become the Responsible Person for it, which carries the duty to hold a safety report and notify before sale. We do not operate that way. Ask us about any product and we will tell you whether we are the Responsible Person or whether the brand is.
From brands that can evidence it.
Responsible Person and report.
Before it goes on sale.
Ingredients and warnings included.
History and previous colour.
The required interval before.
Or a safer alternative.
What to use, and what not to.
Colour follows the manufacturer's instruction: a valid allergy alert test, carried out the required interval before the service. We will not compress that for a same-day appointment. We are also honest about whether a requested colour is achievable on hair that has been treated before, rather than starting and finding out.
We do not diagnose or treat conditions of the skin or scalp. Where something looks clinical — a lesion, an infection, unexplained hair loss — it goes to a pharmacist, GP or dermatologist, and a treatment may be deferred until it has been looked at. Working on inflamed or broken skin makes problems worse, whatever the booking says.
What you want, and your history.
Skin and scalp condition.
Or defer, and say why.
Where it belongs to a clinician.
Allergy, sensitivity or hair type.
Full ingredients, not a summary.
Including when we do not know.
With the returns position clear.
Ask us before ordering rather than after. Botanical and natural ingredients are among the more common irritants, so natural origin tells you nothing about whether you will react. We will also tell you honestly when a sealed product cannot be returned once opened, because that exception catches people out constantly.
Ask about ingredients, suitability, or who is responsible for a product. No obligation.
